Sharks Win Preseason Game

Well, time to start looking forward to the playoffs ladies and gentlemen. The Sharks won 5-2 last night in San Jose, scoring four third period goals.

We're winning the Cup.

What the hell is up with that video? Is it just me, or does it seem like some terrible 80's highlight reel. I think the best way to describe it is "awkward".

From what I can tell from the clips, our defense really looks like they are moving the puck well along the blueline, and we're getting traffic in front of the net. All good signs. Anybody attend the game and have some keen observations?

Go Sharks.

i was there and we looked really, really good. it seemed like the whole game was spent in the ducks' zone. and SEMENOV shocked the world with a really pretty goal from the point. and there were 17,000+ people there, it felt like a regular season game.

I agree with caroline, we were definitely skating on tilted ice last night. It was nice to see the score finally reflect the shot clock in the 3rd.

Shelley Bravehearted Parros (thanks, Sleek!). Nabby made a sick, sick, sick glove save. Boyle is an upgrade over Campbell from what I saw last night; less flashy, but seems to have better defensive sensibilities. Frankenov picked a corner and HIT IT (take notes, Ehrhoff). Stompy Pronger tried to kill Michalek against the glass early and things got chippy for the rest of the game (I'll have to assume that's why Shelley and Parros went at it). Moore got worked over, but it was nice to see him come back with a goal.

There were a lot of people there for preseason, but I'd have to say at no time were there 17K at once. I'd put it at 14-15K. Whatever, I got to try out my new seat and had a great time...

Heart. That is what you describe. If the Sharks can figure out how to dig deep this year, they can win. Unfortunately I don't know if they have it in them. Take a look at Joe Thornton.

He's what it takes. Rise with the stars fall with the stars.
